Meet Some of the Dogs Who Make Amazon a Great Place to Work

Amazon has a program called "Dogs at Work" that allows employees to bring their dogs to the office safely. This program offers several benefits, including designated play areas for dogs, pet-friendly events, discounted pet insurance, welcome packages for registered dogs, and, of course, free treats.

To participate, employees can register their dogs through the program, and each dog receives an official badge granting them access to their designated building. Currently, more than 15,000 dogs are registered to come to work at over 129 Amazon offices throughout the Americas.

Office dogs not only bring joy with their adorable presence but also offer valuable benefits. Many participants in the Dogs at Work program report that their furry friends have helped them connect with colleagues throughout the office. Additionally, numerous studies indicate that dogs positively influence mental and physical health by alleviating stress and encouraging a more active lifestyle.

Scottish cat plays chaperone to kids at school

Kiki, a delightful cat residing in Glasgow, has become a cherished figure in her community by walking 10-year-old Sonny Scott and his friends to Kelvindale Primary School each weekday, patiently waiting for them on the playground until school dismissal. This heartwarming act of companionship and care has not only endeared her to the children but has also earned Kiki a nomination for Britain's National Cat Awards, highlighting the profound impact she has on those around her. This story beautifully illustrates the power of connection and support within a community, mirroring the values of collaboration and engagement that Chart Your Course International champions in enhancing workplace culture.

Minnesota residents send teens to college

Since 1987, the residents of Swanville, Minnesota, have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting education through a remarkable scholarship initiative that ensures every senior at Swanville High School who applies for post-secondary education receives financial aid. This initiative has been sustained by the community's collective efforts, including fundraising activities such as flower sales, raffles, and chili cook-offs. The impact of this initiative is evidenced by the substantial growth in scholarship amounts, escalating from an average of $166 in its inception to an impressive $5,142 today.
