Well, maybe
not millions right away, but with a little work you should be able to earn
plenty of money without having to ever leave the comfort of your own home. How?
With the
advent of the internet, more and more people are working from home. When you do
90% of your work on a computer anyway, there's not much difference between the
computer at a work site and the computer at your house. Some of the most common
ways to earn money at home are:
1. Online
trading. The latest thing in this arena is called "binary options
trading," and it means that you bet the stock of a particular company will
go up or down. If you're right, you make money-and you've got at least a 50-50
chance of being right. When you place the initial bet you also specify at what
price to automatically get out, so there's none of the "Should I wait a
little bit longer?" uncertainty.
2. Flipping
websites. Here's an example of a career that didn't exist until about 10 years
ago. The most profitable version of this is as follows: Find a website online
that has a solid business idea, but is poorly executed or seems like it's run
by a MidEast dictator or something. Offer to buy them out (usually the guy will
be more than happy to get out from under his losing-money-proposition), then
develop the site to its full moneymaking potential.
3. Social
media. Right now, it's all the online rage to somehow make fabulous amounts of
money via social media such as Facebook and YouTube. But many people have been
astounded to discover that it's not as easy as simply making a video talking
about what a great product you have. The road to success here is in positing
yourself as an expert on these sites for free, and meantime drawing visitors to
your site or product. A great example of this is Gary Vaynerchuk's wine blog,
which has become an internet sensation-and helped him grow his wine business.
4. Affiliate
marketing. Makers of all kinds of products will offer you lucrative commissions
to refer customers to their site and purchase something. The catch here is that
you've gotta figure out what things will sell well, because affiliate marketers
work on commission-only basis, so if the links you post don't bring in any
sales traffic, you make exactly $0.
5. Blogging.
Using WordPress, Blogger, or any of a number of other blog sites, it is
possible to generate an income. How? Sites like PayPerPost and Review Me are
two examples of sites that will potentially pay you for every blog post,
granted you write about what they tell you to. Or you can start by actually
paying for your own blog space (gasp!), which then opens up the possibility of
allowing affiliate marketers (see above) to pay you for ads on your site
Oh, and
sorry about the "earn millions" thing. But, if that hadn't been the
title, would you have read this article? Exactly!
